House Rules

Check-In, Check-Out, and Lobby Hours

Check-In time is 3pm and Check-Out time is 11am

The lobby is staffed from 8am-12pm and 2pm-9pm every day. The Lobby is closed from 12pm-2pm daily. If you require a check-in after 9pm, please contact us ahead of time to make arrangements for your arrival.

Early check-ins and late check-outs must be considered on a case by case basis and are dependent upon availability. We will always try to check you in early if it is possible!

A request for late check-out must be made by a phone call to our office at 505-982-1943. Check-outs after 3pm will incur an additional charge equal to one full night’s room rate and tax.

No Smoking

Smoking is NOT permitted in any guest rooms or public spaces at PTI. Smoking in a guest room will result in additional cleaning and damage charge of $250. If you do smoke outside please be courteous and dispose of your waste properly and safely.

Handicap Accessible Guest Room

We have one handicap accessible room with two (2) queen beds. Please call us directly to check availability and make a reservation. 505-982-1943.


A mid-stay cleaning service is included for stays more than four nights. Additional towels, pillows, blankets, toiletries, coffee, etc. are available during your stay upon request. Daily housekeeping is available upon request at an additional $25 per night. Contact us at 505-982-1943, or let us know at check-in and we will be happy to add this request to your reservation.

Dogs? Definitely!

We welcome well-behaved dogs and cool dog owners at PTI. We charge a one-time $50 non-refundable pet fee to have your pup sleep at the motel with you. Additional fees may be incurred if your pet causes damage to your guest room or on property. Maximum of two (2) dogs per room.


By booking your reservation, you agree to pay for anything you damage on the Pecos Trail Inn property, including the building, the furnishings and the grounds of the property.

After Hours Assistance

Although the front office is only staffed until 9pm, we are here if you need us. If there is anything you need after hours please contact us at the After Hours number posted at the front door or in your in-room booklet.


A deposit equal to the first night’s accommodation and tax is due at the time of booking with the remaining balance due 72 hours prior to arrival.

All rates are subject to applicable Santa Fe County Sales and Lodging Taxes. Taxes are subject to change without notice.


Securing a reservation with a credit card number or a deposit means you accept the terms and conditions of our Cancellation Policy.

If you cancel your reservation more than 7 days prior to your arrival date, we will refund your deposit in full. If you cancel 7 days or less prior to your arrival you will be charged a cancellation fee equal to one nights accommodation and tax. Cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to your arrival will be charged a cancellation fee equal to the value of your entire stay.

Your reservation is not cancelled unless you receive a cancellation confirmation e-mail issued by our office. If you booked your reservation on a third party site such as Expedia, you must cancel your reservation with them.
